Kyaw Kwai and Ta Paw have been married for three years. They came from different refugee camps in Thailand and met in Chapel Hill. Ta Paw recently started working as a Nursing Assistant at a senior center in Carrboro. Kyaw Kwai has worked at Aramark for two years. They have a one-year-old son, Ker Du Ku.

They are currently living in an apartment, and are excited about owning their own home. They know it will be affordable, and they believe owning their own home will create a better future for their family.

Thank you to UNC Habitat for sponsoring this home! This work would not be possible without you.
