During checkout, you may see an option to make a contribution to Blackbaud, our online giving platform.
Blackbaud covers all transaction fees for gifts under $3,000 under our current plan. In turn, they present the opportunity to contribute directly to help offset those costs, but this contribution is completely optional.
Whether or not you make a contribution to Blackbaud, 100% of any online donation under $3,000 goes to Orange Habitat.
No. Under our current plan, Blackbaud covers all fees for online gifts under $3,000. The 9% suggested contribution helps Blackbaud make up the cost of covering those fees, but it is not a fee we pay.
No. For online gifts under $3,000, Blackbaud covers the transaction fees under our current plan. Whether or not you choose to make the optional contribution to Blackbaud, Orange Habitat receives the full amount of your donation.
For online gifts of $3,000 or more, Blackbaud does charge a transaction fee. You have the option to cover that fee so Orange Habitat receives your full donation. If you choose not to pay the fee, Orange Habitat will cover the processing cost ourselves. Either way, we’re deeply grateful for your support.

Absolutely. You’re welcome to send a check, and we also accept gifts through donor-advised funds and IRAs and gifts of stock, land, and more.

Recurring donors provide crucial, dependable support that allows us to plan ahead and build more homes throughout the year. You can choose the frequency that works best for you: weekly, every 2 weeks, every 4 weeks, monthly, quarterly, or annually.
To set up a recurring donation, select “Recurring donation” in the form at the top of this page. (The “Recurring donation” option is located near the top, just under “Gift amount” and to the right of “One-time donation”). You can give with a credit or debit card or directly through your bank account (EFT).
In the form at the top of this page, you’ll see the option, “I’d like to dedicate this gift.” When you check that box, you’ll be able to designate the type of dedication (in honor or in memory of), list the honoree name, and note whether you’d like someone to be notified of your gift. If you’d like someone to receive a card notifying them of your gift, make sure to include their address in the space provided in the form.
