Partnerships
Looking for ways to partner with Orange Habitat through your organization or as an individual? Learn how business, faith communities, college students, and young professionals can get involved in our work.
We have a number of special programs designed for individuals to get involved with our mission.
Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program recruits, educates, and inspires women to build, fundraise, and advocate for stable and affordable homes in our communities. Women Build volunteers and fundraisers from all walks of life have come together to build stronger, safer communities.
Get involved by volunteering, donating, or sponsoring a Women Build event!
Building Pride is an initiative that focuses on the unique housing issues faced by LGBTQIA+ people. As a housing organization that believes “everyone deserves a decent place to live,” we recognize our responsibility towards these issues. We are working in partnership with local organizations that support the LGBTQIA+ population so together we can participate in collective education, fundraising, Habitat site builds, and more – empowering us to use our platform to advocate for meaningful changes in housing access for LGBTQIA+ and TGNC people.
Building Belonging is a new initiative to make our volunteer sites more welcoming to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This includes site adaptations and a digital resource library to support volunteers and expand this program’s reach.
We’re also implementing training programs to help our staff and volunteer leaders better support all abilities. To design this thoughtfully, we’re working closely with local disability inclusion experts, occupational therapists, and assistive technology specialists who are guiding us on best practices and meaningful adaptations.
If you have questions getting involved, please contact Volunteer Engagement Coordinator Julia Henn at jhenn@orangehabitat.org.
In summer 2026, we launched Pope Leo Village, an initiative made possible by an anonymous donor inspired by Pope Leo’s vision of community, service, and shared humanity. This generous contribution will help fund the construction of eight new townhomes within our Weavers Grove neighborhood in Chapel Hill. The initiative also aims to engage faith and youth partners in meaningful, hands-on service and inspire new philanthropic investment in affordable housing.
Safe, stable housing is a global need. Through our international partnerships, Orange Habitat helps families around the world build strength, stability, and self-reliance. We invest in housing efforts around the world and organize Global Village trips to build and repair homes internationally.
