Calling all women looking to get more involved with Orange Habitat! Women Build will host this year’s EmpowerHer Launch Party on the evening of Thursday, September 11 from 5:30-7:30pm at Rocks + Acid Wine Shop in Chapel Hill. This free event is a great chance to learn about Women Build, including how you can volunteer with the group and help raise funds to support female-led households.

Habitat for Humanity’s annual Women Build program recruits, educates, and inspires women to build, fundraise, and advocate for stable and affordable homes in our communities. This event will be an evening of forging meaningful connections with like-minded women while indulging in a delightful array of small bites.

Can’t join us at this event? You can sign up for our next Women Build shift which will take place on Saturday, October 11 with morning and afternoon slots available. Volunteers work in a collaborative atmosphere under the guidance of female construction professionals with other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners while learning new skills.

Together, let’s embark on an exciting journey to build the positive change we envision.
