Our Commitment

Safe, stable housing is a global need. Through our international partnerships, Orange Habitat helps families around the world build strength, stability, and self-reliance. We invest in housing efforts around the world through trusted Habitat for Humanity partners, supporting:

As part of Habitat for Humanity’s tithe model, U.S. affiliates contribute a portion of funding to international partnerships, allowing our impact to extend far beyond our region.

Whether you give, travel with us, or help advocate, you can be a part of this work.

Global Partners

We partner with Habitat for Humanity in Honduras and Malawi by providing direct financial support and organizing Global Village trips to build and repair homes.

Orange Habitat has also been a part of service trips to Nepal, Guatemala, Myanmar, and Puerto Rico, and we regularly support disaster relief initiatives globally and domestically.

Global Village Trips

One of the most powerful ways to engage in this work is through a Global Village Trip: a short-term service experience where volunteers work alongside local community members and Habitat staff to build and repair homes.

A woman weaves on a new concrete patio in Guatemala

Join Kevin Campbell, former President & CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Raleigh, for Global Village trip to Guatemala as part of Habitat’s 100,000 Floors to Play On initiative. In Guatemala alone, over 800,000 dwellings — about a quarter of all homes in the country — have dirt floors. 100,000 Floors to Play On aims to replace 100,000 dirt floors with concrete, a change that studies have shown can influence economic development, improve health and well-being, reduce school absenteeism, and increase children’s indoor playtime.

Learn more about the trip on the Habitat Volunteer Community website or contact Kevin by email. (Note: You’ll first need to create a Habitat Volunteer Community account to view the event detail page.)

Be an Advocate

More than 1 billion people around the world live in informal settlements, such as slums or favelas, where their homes often lack basic services, land tenure security and climate resilience.

Habitat for Humanity has launched Home Equals, a five-year global advocacy campaign dedicated to achieving policy change, at all levels, to ensure that people living in informal settlements have equitable access to adequate housing.

Join this movement to create lasting change in communities around the world.
