Homeownership Applications: Apply for a Home in Weavers Grove

In August, Orange Habitat closed on 7 homes in Weavers Grove, the most ever in one month! Currently, there are 28 homes under construction in this community, one which could become yours in this currently application cycle. 

Applications for Orange Habitat’s homeownership program will open on September 18 through October 2, 2025. Six 3- to 4-bedroom units at Weavers Grove in Chapel Hill will be available for purchase through the Fall 2025 application cycle. Applications for Market-Rate homes through Garman Homes and White Oak Properties will be managed directly through the builders.

The minimum requirements for Habitat’s homeownership program are that applicants have lived or worked in Orange County for at least 12 months, are first-time homebuyers, and are able to afford one of our home loans. For the Fall 2025 application cycle at Weavers Grove, the minimum income is $47,800 for a 3 bedroom home and $48,900 for a 4 bedroom home as well as not exceeding 80% Area Median Income (AMI). Home selection is based on income, available home inventory, and household size and these requirements are subject to change per cycle and development.
