House Party: Homecoming in Hillsborough

November 25, 2025

On Sunday, November 2, more than 125 supporters gathered at the home of Sue and Charles Plambeck in Hillsborough for the 27th Annual Habitat House Party. With the theme of Homecoming, the evening celebrated the shared commitment to building homes, communities, and hope — and together, guests helped raise over $215,000 to support future Habitat homeowners.

Returning to Hillsborough for the first time in 20 years, the program reflected on Habitat’s impact over the past 41 years, including partnering with nearly 1,200 families through new home construction and repair projects. President & CEO Jennifer Player shared updates on Weavers Grove and reminded attendees that by working side by side, we can overcome challenges and ensure everyone has a decent place to call home in Orange County.

The evening also featured the exciting announcement of a $2 million capital campaign for Auman Village, a new community near the Sportsplex that will create 75 affordable homes for those who help Hillsborough thrive. Guests were inspired by homeowner Patricia Sutton, whose story highlighted how a Habitat home brings independence, stability, and a true sense of community.

A special thank you to Beau Catering for providing a delicious spread and to all our generous sponsors for making the evening possible.
