This Giving Tuesday, our community came together to support Habitat’s Home for Every Holiday campaign—raising critical funds to help families move closer to safe, stable housing. One of our standout supporters was Alyn, one of our top Giving Tuesday Ambassadors, who not only met her fundraising goal but exceeded it, raising $1,260 to support Orange Habitat’s work.

Alyn has been part of the Habitat team since the summer of 2020, and currently works as the Human Resources Manager. While this was her first time participating in a fundraiser like this, she was excited to step into the role of ambassador—and even more excited to see her network rally behind the mission. Growing up with a dad who worked in construction, Alyn says it’s especially meaningful that she gets to work for an organization that helps build homes and strengthen communities.

“Becoming a Giving Tuesday Ambassador wasn’t even planned—I walked into the office Monday morning and suddenly found myself jumping in,” said Alyn. “While I hoped to reach my $1,000 goal, my bigger hope was that, whether people donated or not, they would take a moment to think about how affordable housing affects all of us, from our neighbors to our broader communities. Seeing so many people rally around that idea meant more to me than the number itself.”
