Weavers Grove: Residents Shape the Future Amenities
As more families settle into their homes in Weavers Grove, a strong sense of community is beginning to take root. Recently, current and future residents came together to share feedback on neighborhood amenities and imagine the future of the shared green spaces.
Their ideas reflected a deep investment in the neighborhood’s growth and potential. Suggestions included a bike shelter, community garden, additional benches and picnic tables, and more parking—amenities that will help make Weavers Grove even more welcoming, inclusive, and functional for families of all kinds.
This community input builds on the momentum of recent progress. The neighborhood playground, completed last fall, has already become a favorite gathering place for children and families. Construction on the Weavers Grove Community Center is expected to begin soon, offering space for events, workshops, and connection among neighbors.
The community residents are already coming together for various skill shares where residents teach a topic of their expertise to other residents, and community engagement through various partnerships like Food, Fitness and Opportunity Research Collaborative (FFORC) Transit Equity work.
Weavers Grove is more than a new housing development—it’s a community being shaped by the people who call it home. As the neighborhood continues to grow, this spirit of collaboration will remain at the heart of everything that comes next.
