About Women Build
Orange Habitat’s Women Build program recruits, educates, and inspires women to build, fundraise, and advocate for stable and affordable homes in Orange County and beyond.
In the face of rising costs and growing need, the work of building homes, communities, and hope is more difficult than ever. To meet these challenges head on, Orange Habitat is launching an ambitious Women Build fundraising goal of $25,000 for the 2026–2027 season.
To help us get there, our new Women Build Committee is spearheading peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns and hosting fun community events all year long. These gatherings are designed to foster deep connections among women and create meaningful opportunities to build stronger, safer communities. Come Build with Us!
Volunteer
Volunteering with Women Build is a fun way to connect with other women who are passionate about supporting their community. Join us on the construction site, and help us literally build affordable homes. No construction experience necessary—our outstanding site supervisors will teach you everything you need to know on-site. People of any gender identity (ages 16+) are invited to join us to celebrate all the things that women build!
Upcoming Women Build Dates:
- Saturday, October 10, 2026
- Saturday, March 6, 2027
- Saturday, May 15, 2027
“Women Build is the gateway to Habitat love; experience just one Women Build and you are hooked for life!” – Erin, longtime volunteer
